Widowmaker can be described as a personal, all time favorite muse of mine, if not the favorite; a passion project I have been consistently running for various years (starting in 2016/17 & evolving her across various blogs since then). As a character, she is very, very dear to me & as such the muse I have put the most work into developing. Frankly, I consider writing her to be one of my favorite things.

please note hereby that I STRICTLY FOLLOW OW1'S ORIGINAL WIDOW CONCEPT & DISREGARD PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING ELSE ⸻ OW2 in its totality (safe for the occasional in-game voiceline), & some more questionable parts of OW1's lore, hold no bearing here & have been altered respectively.

That said, the following rules can come across as strict &/or harsh; please know that I am genuinely just here to write a muse I am ineffably passionate about — however, I also won't tolerate my boundaries being disrespected (which, unfortunately, has happened too many a time)..  001.  . I am : a) PRETTY MUCH UNAFFILIATED WITH ANY & ALL FANDOMS; due to simply not particularily getting along with modern fandom culture as a whole. && b) EXTREMELY SLOW; while I love to chat & engage with people, I will need several days to get back to you, both ic & ooc. English is furthermore not my first language, I may make mistakes now & then..  002.  . LONG / MULTI PARA PREFERENCE; I have a tendency to talk; I will most certainly write more studies on my muse than I will be writing ic content. If novella en masse bothers you, please do not follow..  003.  . my rendition of the character Widowmaker is distinctly canon divergent & heavily, heavily headcanon-based due to my general discontent with Blizzard as a company & how they have been treating her for years. Albeit trying to stay as true to her original concepts as I can, I DO NOT WRITE CANON WIDOWMAKER, & I wish my decisions to be respected whenever you choose to interact with me. PICTURE MY RENDITION AS SOMEONE AKIN TO THE WINTER SOLDIER in concept, if you will.As stated, I completely ignore Widow's "revised" OW2 background story & default to Widow's original lore as found in OW1's character description, a few selected comics & the Overwatch: Declassified lore book; you can find my , rather emotionally charged, in-depth reasoning here. I am excluding some of Widow's cinematics for personal reasons (read: I do not like the fanservice-heavy focus of ALIVE; the events in it are canon to my lore but occurred differently, simply put).

.  004.  . one of the most important aspects of my portrayal is the fact that I PERCEIVE WIDOWMAKER & AMÉLIE AS TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PEOPLE, despite technically being the same woman; it was Talon's intention to kill A. Lacroix + create something else in her stead & that is exactly what happened (you can read more about it all here). Please note that this is NOT a case of DID, however.Simply put, referring to my muse as "Amélie" refers to past content; the person she used to be before Talon ruined her life, namely the professional, famous ballet dancer with the breathtaking smile. Whereas Widowmaker refers to all that came after; the emotionless creature, Talon's most successful agent / hitwoman & living weapon; a prisoner in her own body.Note that Amélie J. Lacroix (née Guillard) was her own extraordinary person beforehand with her own incredible accomplishments, interests, struggles, & relationships - I will neither tolerate a cheapening of her background story or lore nor the omitting of such; who she was will be just as dominately featured on my blog as who she eventually becomes.

.  006.  . SEXUALIZING MY MUSE (ic or ooc) WITHOUT MY EXPLICIT CONSENT WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE HARDBLOCK. I cannot believe this has to be said in current year but : do not send me sexually charged jokes out of the blue. Do not send me sexually charged ooc / ic / crack memes or commentary. Do not sexualize my posts through suggestive commentary unless we are close friends or I have explicitly marked my posts as suggestive / sexual in nature..  007.  . DNI IF YOU WRITE / SUPPORT : rape, incest, pedophilia, ageing up muses for the sake of nsfw content, proshipping, constant vagueing, hate in any shape or form (racism, sexism, lesbophobia, transphobia, etc), if you support Israel, dub / non-con, torture porn, or AI generated content. I also wholeheartedly believe that fiction affects reality; this is not the blog for you if you think otherwise. For my own comfort I will not be following / interacting with people from the BG3 fandom (nor the usual HP, AoT, etc) or those that post copious amounts of nsfw content / reblog a lot of highly suggestive &/or explicit imagery..  008.  .
